HAPPY NATIONAL MUTT DAY!

HEY GUYS! 🐾

PLEASE READ MY MOM'S POST FOR NATIONAL MUTT DAY! YOU SEE I ASKED HER TO PUT IT OUT FOR ALL MY FRIENDS!!!

December is the time of year filled with holidays, family, friends and good cheer. But let’s not forget our faithful canine companions, especially the mixed breeds. Twice a year on December 2nd, and July 31st, we celebrate National Mutt Day, also known National Mixed Breed Dog Day. This day was created in 2005, by Colleen Paige, an Animal Welfare Advocate. Her intent is to raise awareness of the unfortunate situation that mixed breeds face in our nation’s shelters as approximately 80% of the dogs in the shelters are mixed breeds. The pure breeds that end up in the shelters are generally rescued quickly by individuals who purchase these dogs for considerably less or they are rescued by a pure breed rescue organization.

The ASPCA notes, “approximately 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year”. Many dogs that enter the shelters are often abandoned or abused, but each one deserves a forever home. Sadly, a large percentage of dogs that are euthanized due to the continual over-breeding and the sale of pure-bred puppies by puppy mills to pet stores that are ill or neglected.

Many mixed breeds possess unique characteristics that result from the mix of their breeds. They tend to be healthier and live longer and their behavior is often better. They learn and obey commands just as easily as a pure-bred. They are competent at performing the tasks of search and rescue, bomb detection, drug sniffing, and as guide dogs. They also provide us with health benefits such as daily walks along with social interaction with our neighbors.

So, this holiday season visit your local shelter and you may find your perfect companion. There are many healthy and loving mixed breeds desperately waiting for their forever homes. If adoption/fostering is not an option, donate food, supplies or a financial donation. Each shelter has a wish list, and they appreciate your donations. If you need more convincing to adopt a mix breed, just remember Benji, a mixed breed Terrier famous for several films from 1974 through the 2000’s and Spike, a Labrador Retriever/Mastiff mix who was best known as Old Yeller and the list goes on.

“In every heart, there is a hole. In every shelter, there is love in which to fill it.” ~ Collen Paige

WHY DO WE FOSTER?

 HEY GUYS! 🐾

WHY DO PEOPLE FOSTER A PET? WELL, HERE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS!

-          IT SAVES LIVES FROM OVERCROWDED SHELTERS.

-          IT GIVES THE RESCUE GROUPS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DETERMINE A DOG’S BEHAVIOR AND PERSONALITY IN A HOME.

-          YOUNG PUPS CAN BE TAUGHT BASIC MANNERS BEFORE ADOPTION.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE FOR A DOG TO DECOMPRESS.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE HOSPICE CARE FOR A SICK OR SENIOR DOG.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE AIDE WHEN THERE IS A NATURAL DISASTER.

RESCUES OFTEN SUPPLY FOOD, LEASHES, CRATES, VETERINARY CARE, AND TRAINING FOR THE FOSTERS. FOSTERING IS A TEMPORARY COMMITMENT AND THE REWARDS CAN BE WONDERFUL, FROM COMPANIONSHIP, TO FEELING GOOD ABOUT SAVING A LIFE, TO THOSE SNUGGLES, PLAYTIMES, AND THOSE WARM AND SLOPPY KISSES. IT MAY BE HARD TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FOSTER PUP WHEN THEY ARE ADOPTED, BUT REMEMBER YOU SAVED A LIFE!!!

THERE ARE SO MANY ANIMALS IN NEED OF RESCUE AT NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILTIY PLEASE CONSIDER BEING A FOSTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE GO TO THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE TO SEE THOSE IN NEED AND YOU CAN CONTACT VIA EMAIL Kathleenfrett1@gmail.com

SEPTEMBER IS RESPONSIBE PET OWNERSHIP MONTH, WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?

 HEY GUYS, 🐾

DID YOU KNOW THAT SEPTEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP MONTH? WE MAY BE HALFWAY THROUGH THE MONTH, BUT WE CAN STOP AND ACKNOWLEDGE WHAT IS TAKES TO BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER. SO I AM GOING TO LET YOU HEAR FROM THE HORSES MOUTH (MY MOM'S) WITH HER COMMENTARY:

BEING A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER MAY NOT BE FOR EVERYONE, BUT FOR ME I CAN'T IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT MY TWO DOGS. THEY HAVE BEEN MY CONSTANT COMPANIONS SINCE THEY WERE PUPPIES. I THINK BACK TO WHEN I FIRST GOT EACH ONE AND I REMEMBER THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS TAKING THEM OUT FOR THEIR MANY BATHROOM BREAKS. I WOULD PRAY THAT AS TIME WENT ON, THEY WOULD NEED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM LESS AND LESS. YES, THIS IMPROVED, BUT NOW THEY ARE SENIORS, SO I AM BACK TO SQUARE ONE WITH THE SEVERAL BATHROOM BREAKS. OH WELL, KIND OF LIKE US WHEN WE GET OLD! THEN, WE WORKED ON THEIR TRAINING SUCH AS SIT, STAY, DOWN, COME AND THEY DID WELL. WE EVEN WENT TO TRAINING CLASSES! BUT, I HAVE TO LAUGH BECAUSE WHEN SOMEONE COMES TO VISIT, IT'S AS IF ALL BETS ARE OFF AND THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY WERE TAUGHT. THEN THERE WERE THOSE LONG WALKS WHEN MY LEGS WERE GOOD (DAD WALKS YOU NOW)!

I REMEMBER AS THEY GREW, TESTING OUT DIFFERENT DOG FOODS THAT THEY BOTH WOULD EAT AND STILL THEY ARE PICKY! NOTHING THAT A LITTLE DOG TREAT WON'T CURE IN THEIR KIBBLE. I THINK ABOUT HOW I HAVE AND STILL COAX EACH NERVOUS DOG INTO THE VET'S OFFICE FOR THEIR CHECK UPS AND SHOTS. THEIR FEAR IS LEFT IN TONS OF HAIR ON THE DOG BLANKET IN MY CAR! OH, AND THE GROOMER IS ANOTHER STORY AS EACH ONE COMES HOME ANNOYED, BUT BOY DO THEY LOOK AND SMELL GOOD. THEN THERE ARE THOSE DAYS WHEN THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, THEY GET SICK IN THE HOUSE OR HAVE AN ACCIDENT. IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU NEED TO GO SOMEWHERE AND YOU'RE IN A HURRY! BUT YOU CAN'T BE ANGRY WHEN YOU SEE THE SAD LOOK IN THEIR FACE AS IF TO SAY "MOM, I REALLY DIDN'T MEAN IT", YOU JUST CLEAN IT UP AND GO ON!

I WON'T DENY THAT IT’S A LOT OF WORK TO BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER, BUT THE BENEFITS ARE SO WELL WORTH IT! I LOVE WHEN EACH ONE WIGGLES UP TO ME FOR HUGS AND KISSES OR DANCES WITH ME IN THE KITCHEN TO A FUN SONG. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, THEY ALWAYS SEEM TO COMFORT ME OR BRIGHTEN MY DAY. THEY HAVE ME WRAPPED AROUND THEIR LITTLE PAW AND THEIR IMPRINTS ARE DEEP IN MY HEART. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THEM DEARLY AND BE WITH THEM TO THE END.

SO, IT YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT IN A LITTLE WORK AND REAP THE BENEFITS OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, THEN DON'T GET A DOG. BUT IF YOU DO, YOU MAY BE GLAD YOU DID!

LOVE YOU CHEWY AND CIENA! 💕

"A PLEA FOR ANIMAL RESCUE"

 HEY GUYS! 🐾

HERE IS A COMMENTARY FROM MY MOM!

I FREQUENTLY LOOK AT THE FACEBOOK PAGES OF VARIOUS SHELTERS, LOCAL AND OUT OF STATE. RECENTLY, I READ A POST ON THE FACEBOOK PAGE OF "FRIENDS OF NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILTY" WRITTEN BY "TRINA & FRIENDS K-9 RESCUE", ENTITLED:  "HEATBREAKING REALITIES OF 2023: A PLEA FOR ANIMAL RESCUE".

THE POST IS AN INSIGHTFUL LOOK INTO THE WORLD OF ANIMAL RESCUE AND THE CRISIS THAT HAS BEEN BUILDING OVER THIS PAST YEAR. IT TELLS OF THEIR CHALLENGES AND FRUSTRATIONS IN LOSING COUNTLESS INNOCENT LIVES. THIS IS DUE IN PART TO THE LACK OF EDUCATION REGARDING RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP, ALONG WITH HUMAN INDIFFERENCE. THEIR BATTLE IS ONGOING TO SAVE THOSE THAT CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. THEY NOTE, “THE WALLS OF SHELTERS OVERFLOW WITH ABANDONED SOULS, THEIR PLEADING EYES SILENTLY BEGGING FOR A SECOND CHANCE".

ALL TOO OFTEN I SEE PICTURES OF DOGS IN DIFFERENT SHELTERS THAT ARE POSTED AS "TIMESTAMPED:" OR GIVEN A "EUTH COMMAND". THESE DOGS ARE ON DEATH ROW FREQUENTLY DUE TO LACK OF SPACE, OR MEDICAL ISSUES, OR BEHAVIORAL ISSUES. I LOOK AT THEIR PICTURES AND I SEE HOPE IN THEIR EYES WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COME FOR THEM. SADLY, ALL TO OFTEN NO ONE COMES AND THEIR LIVES ARE LOST. THIS IS TRULY HEARTBEAKING.

SO, PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND GO TO “FRIENDS OF NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILITY’S” FACEBOOK PAGE AND READ THE POST BY “TRINA & FRIENDS K-9 RESCUE”. IT MAY TUG AT YOUR HEARTSTRINGS AND FILL YOU WITH A SENSE OF EMPATHY, AS IT DID WITH ME. I BELIEVE THERE ARE MANY UNSUNG HEROES IN ANIMAL RESCUE THAT DESERVE OUR GRATITUDE. HOPEFULLY, WHEN YOU READ THEIR POST, YOU WILL BE INSPIRED TO UNITE AND SUPPORT OUR RESCUES AND SHELTERS BY VOLUNTEERING, ADOPTING, OR FOSTERING.  BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL, PLEASE SHARE THEIR MESSAGES ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA TO BRING ATTENTION TO THOSE ANIMALS IN DESPARATE NEED!  REMEMBER, "IT TAKES A VILLAGE"!!

 THANK YOU!

SO WHAT ABOUT ROSIE?

 HEY GUYS! 🐾

SO, WHAT ABOUT ROSIE? SHE IS THE LAST REMAING DOG WHO CAME FROM THAT TERRIBLE HOARDING CASE BACK IN DECEMBER IN BRICK! HAVE WE SO QUICKLY FORGOTTEN THAT SITUATION?  ROSIE IS STILL AT THE NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILITY. THE SHELTER NOTES ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE: "ROSIE WHO IS A PETITE 40 POUND HOUND MIX, IS EASY TO WALK AND EASY TO HANDLE. ALSO, SHE DOESN'T MIND OTHER DOGS." SADLY, ROSIE NEEDS A FOSTER (MOM/DAD) AS SHE FAILED HER TEMPERAMENT TEST FOR FOOD. ROSIE HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH AND SHE DESERVES TO BE IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME.

SO, LET'S GET THE WORD OUT AND SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA ROSIE'S STORY SO WE CAN FIND HER A FOSTER! WE JUST DID FOR STAN LEE AND HE WAS RESCUED, NOW LET'S DO IT FOR ROSIE!

CELEBRATE NATIONAL DOG DAY & CLEAR OUR SHELTERS!

HEY GUYS! 🐾

NOT ONLY IS TODAY "CLEAR THE SHELTERS", BUT IT IS ALSO NATIONAL DOG DAY! SO MY MOM WROTE THIS ARTICLE IN HONOR OF NATIONAL DOG DAY. WE HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY IT!

                                                     NATIONAL DOG DAY

As a pet parent of two beloved dogs, I am writing about National Dog Day, which is celebrated on August 26, each year. This day honors our canine companions and promotes the rescue of dogs from abuse and homelessness. “National Dog Day was created by the National Dog Day Foundation. Their motto is "Saving 10,000 Dogs - One Day at a Time". President George W. Bush, a dog owner himself, sent a letter to the foundation in support of National Dog Day.”

Not only do our dogs provide us with love and companionship, but they also play an important role as service and/or therapy dogs. Trained dogs lead the blind, the visually impaired and assist the deaf and hard of hearing. They aid physically disabled individuals who have mobility issues. Some dogs are trained to be medical response dogs in aiding individuals with medical constraints such as epilepsy or diabetic conditions. Research shows that dogs are beneficial as constant companions to children with autism for they help the child in building relationships and with interactions. Other dogs are be trained for search and rescue or to seek out bombs and drugs.

Our dogs may not be service/therapy dogs, but I believe that they are an important part of our life. Dogs improve our mental health by reducing our stress when we stroke them, they keep us fit when we go for walks, and they provide us with a sense of security. They are not judgmental, and they give us unconditional love. Their crazy antics can make us laugh and raise our spirits. I chuckle when I think of my two large dogs taking over our bed, forcing us to sleep on the edge all night. I wouldn’t trade them for the world for they bring joy to my life. I wish all dogs could have a forever home where they are safe and loved, no dog should ever be homeless or abused. Let’s honor our loving companions on this day and maybe we can open our hearts and homes to help an abandoned dog, for so many are in need.

PLEASE ADOPT, RESCUE, FOSTER, AND CLEAR OUR SHELTERS!

CLEAR THE SHELTERS STARTS TODAY!!

HEY GUYS, 🐾

TODAY STARTS "CLEAR THE SHELTERS", AND IT RUNS FROM AUGUST 1ST TO AUGUST 31ST. THIS IS THE 9TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR THAT NBC-UNIVERSAL IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TELEMUNDO AND AFFILIATED STATIONS ACROSS OUT COUNTRY INCLUDING PUERTO RICO ARE TEAMING UP WITH LOCAL SHELTERS AND RESCUES TO PROMOTE ANIMAL ADOPATIONS AND HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR ANIMAL WELFARE. THIS MONTH-LONG EVENT SUPPORTS MANY SHELTERS AND RESCUES THAT CARE FOR OUR VULNERABLE ANIMALS. IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE: "SINCE 2015, CLEAR THE SHELTERS HAS HELPED MORE THAN 860,000 PETS FIND NEW HOMES. LAST YEAR'S CAMPAIGN SET A NEW SINGLE-YEAR RECORD WITH MORE THAN 161,000 ADOPTIONS, WHILE RAISING MORE THAN $540,000."

SO, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LOYAL COMPANION, VISIT YOUR LOCAL SHELTERS AND BE PART OF THIS WONDERFUL EVENT. SO MANY ANIMALS ARE IN NEED OF A FOREVER HOME. IN YOUR SEARCH FOR YOUR BEST BUDDY, YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER ADOPTING A SENIOR PET. THEY HAVE SEVERAL ADVANTAGES, THEY ARE TYPICALLY HOUSEBROKEN, CALMER, AND LESS DESTRUCTIVE THAT PUPPIES. SADLY, THEY ARE OFTEN OVERLOOKED IN THE SHELTER AS THEY HAVE AN ADOPTIONS RATE OF 25% COMPARED TO 60% ADOPTION RATE FOR PUPPIES PER THE ASPCA. BUT WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE, SENIOR, ADULT, OR PUPPY, REMEMBER YOU ARE MAKING A COMMITIMENT TO PROVIDE YOUR COMPANION WITH THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE!

P.S. IF YOU CAN'T ADOPT, PLEASE FOSTER, VOLUNTEER, OR DONATE, THE SHELTERS AND RESCUES CAN ALWAYS USE YOUR HELP! THANK YOU!

BE A HERO....CHANGE A DOG'S LIFE!

 HEY GUYS, 🐾

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED FOSTERING A DOG?  IT CAN BE A REWARDING EXPERIENCE! BY FOSTERING A DOG, YOU GIVE THEM A TEMPORARY HOME WITH LOVE AND CARE UNTIL THEY CAN BE ADOPTED. THIS HELPS THE SHELTERS FREE UP SPACE SO OTHER DOGS CAN BE RESCUED. ALSO, FOSTERS AIDE THE SHELTERS BY LEARNING ABOUT A DOGS’ BEHAVIOR, SO THEY CAN BE PLACED IN THE BEST HOME POSSIBLE. FOSTERS ARE A VALUABLE RESOURCE AS SHELTERS ARE OVERCROWDED AND TOO MANY DOGS ARE BEING EUTHANIZED FOR SPACE. RESCUES OFTEN LACK FACILITIES TO HOUSE THESE DOGS SO FOSTER HOMES ARE DESPARATELY NEEDED. WHY DO WE FOSTER, WELL HERE A FEW REASONS:

-          FOSTERING A DOG IS A GOOD WAY TO FIND OUT IF OWNERSHIP IS RIGHT FOR YOU.

-          FOSTERING ALLOWS PUPPIES TO BE SAFE UNTIL THEY ARE OLD ENOUGH TO BE ADOPTED.

-          FOSTERING A DOG WHO IS INJURED OR ILL ALLOWS THEM TIME TO RECUPERATE.

-          FOSTERING GIVES A DOG NEAR THE END OF THEIR LIFE THE COMFORT AND LOVE THEY NEED.

-          FOSTERING A DOG WHO IS STRESSED IN THE SHELTER GIVES THE DOG TIME TO DECOMPRESS IN A HOME.

RESCUES AND SHELTERS NOT ONLY PROVIDE FOSTERS WITH GUIDENCE AND TRAINING, BUT MANY PROVIDE FOOD, PET SUPPLIES, MEDICINE, AND VETERINARY CARE. SO, IF YOU DECIDE TO FOSTER, GO ONLINE AND CHECK YOUR LOCAL RESCUES AND SHELTERS.  FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ONLINE AND IF YOU ARE APPROVED, THE SHELTER OR RESCUE WILL WORK WITH YOU TO PLACE THE RIGHT DOG IN YOUR HOME. BUT BEWARE YOU MAY BE A FOSTER FAIL AND ADOPT YOUR BEAUTIFUL FOSTER DOG!!!

PLEASE HELP OUR SHELTERS!

 HEY GUYS, 🐾

HERE'S A COMMENTARY FROM MY MOM!

WHAT DOES EUTHANASIA MEAN? WELL, IT'S DERIVED FROM THE GREEK LANGUAGE MEANING "GOOD DEATH".  IT MEANS TO DELIBERATELY END A LIFE DUE TO PAIN AND SUFFERING. BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT'S ALWAYS HAPPENING IN OUR SHELTERS TODAY. DUE TO THE OVERCROWDING, TOO MANY HEALTHY ANIMALS ARE BEING EUTHANIZED JUST FOR SPACE. THESE ANIMALS DO NOT DESERVE TO DIE! THEY SHOULD BE IN THEIR FOREVER HOMES, LOVED AND CARED FOR TILL THEIR END.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS THAT OUR SHELTERS ARE OVERCROWDED:

- PUPPIES AND KITTENS BORN WHO ARE UNWANTED AND HAVE LITTLE CHANCE OF FINDING A HOME. THAT'S WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PET.

- TOO MANY UNREGULATED BREEDERS.

- AS FAMILIES ADJUST TO POST PANDEMIC LIFE, THEY ARE FINDING IT DIFFICUTLT TO CARE FOR THEIR PETS OR THEY NO LONGER WANT THEM.

- HOUSING CHALLENGES, AS PETS ARE NOT ACCEPTED OR THERE ARE WEIGHT OR BREED RESTRICTIONS.

- LACK OF ADOPTERS OR FOSTERS.

I WILL NOT DISAGREE THAT THERE ARE REASONS TO EUTHANIZE AN ANIMAL, AS IN THE CASE OF PAIN AND SUFFERING. BUT OUR SHELTERS ARE IN CRISIS WITH TOO MANY HEALTHY ANIMALS IN NEED OF A HOME AND THE SHELTERS HAVE NO MORE SPACE TO ACCOMODATE THEM, THEREFORE, MANY ARE EUTHANIZED, THIS IS A SAD REALITY, BUT WE NEED TO MAKE CHANGES. SUPPORT THE RESCUES THROUGH FOSTERING OR ADOPTING A PET. CONTACT OUR POLITICIANS TO MAKE CHANGES TO IMPROVE OUR SHELTERS. SO, HERE'S A THOUGHT.......

SURRENDER.....WHAT DOES IT MEAN??

 HEY GUYS, 🐾

MY MOM'S COMMENTARY!

WHAT DOES SURRENDER MEAN? ONE DEFINITION IS “TO GIVE UP COMPLETELY”!  I BELIEVE THAT WHEN WE SURRENDER OUR DOGS THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS! SADLY, HERE ARE FEW REASONS:

MOVING AND NOT TAKING DOGS WITH THEM, HOUSING ISSUES, DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED, OWNER PASSES AWAY AND FAMILY MEMBERS SURRENDER THE DOG, A DOG IS SURRENDERED DUE TO THEIR AGE, A NEW RELATIONSHIP /FAMILY MEMBER AND THE UNWANTED DOG IS SURRENDERED, AND A DOG IS SURRENDERED FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS.

FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I DISAGREE WITH THOSE REASONS AND HERE’S WHY:

WHENEVER WE MOVED (IN STATE OR OUT OF STATE) OUR DOGS ALWAYS WENT WITH US. IT HAS TAKEN TIME AND EFFORT, BUT WE HAVE ALWAYS MANAGED TO FIND HOUSING THAT ACCEPTS OUR DOGS. WE HAVE MADE PROVISIONS IN THE EVENT OF OUR DEATH TO HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER CARE FOR OUR DOGS. WE HAVE SPENT TIME IN TRAINING AND SOCIALIZING OUR DOGS TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE BEHAVIORAL ISSUES. OUR DOGS ARE SENIORS NOW AND WE WOULD NEVER CONSIDER SURRENDING THEM BECAUSE OF AGE OR ILLNESS. WE WILL ALWAYS COMFORT THEM TILL THE END, FOR AFTER ALL THEY ARE FAMILY.

I BELIEVE THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A DOG OR ANY PET FOR THAT FACT, THAT YOU HAVE MADE A COMMITMENT FOR THE LENGTH OF THEIR LIVES. THEY ARE NOT MATERIAL OBJECTS THAT CAN BE DISCARDED AT ANY TIME BECAUSE "THEY ARE NOT A FIT"!! WHEN YOU SURRENDER YOUR DOG, THEY ARE LEFT ALONE AND AFRAID AND OFTEN TIMES DESTROYED. YES, IT TAKES WORK IN CARING FOR YOUR DOG, BUT THE REWARDS ARE SO MUCH GREATER! DOGS ARE OUR COMPANIONS, THEY ARE LOVING, LOYAL AND ALWAYS FORGIVING. MAYBE IF WE DIDN’T “GIVE UP COMPLETELY” ON OUR DOGS, THERE WOULD BE LESS IN OUR SHELTERS!
