WHY DO WE FOSTER?

 HEY GUYS! 🐾

WHY DO PEOPLE FOSTER A PET? WELL, HERE ARE SOME OF THE REASONS!

-          IT SAVES LIVES FROM OVERCROWDED SHELTERS.

-          IT GIVES THE RESCUE GROUPS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DETERMINE A DOG’S BEHAVIOR AND PERSONALITY IN A HOME.

-          YOUNG PUPS CAN BE TAUGHT BASIC MANNERS BEFORE ADOPTION.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE FOR A DOG TO DECOMPRESS.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE HOSPICE CARE FOR A SICK OR SENIOR DOG.

-          YOU CAN PROVIDE AIDE WHEN THERE IS A NATURAL DISASTER.

RESCUES OFTEN SUPPLY FOOD, LEASHES, CRATES, VETERINARY CARE, AND TRAINING FOR THE FOSTERS. FOSTERING IS A TEMPORARY COMMITMENT AND THE REWARDS CAN BE WONDERFUL, FROM COMPANIONSHIP, TO FEELING GOOD ABOUT SAVING A LIFE, TO THOSE SNUGGLES, PLAYTIMES, AND THOSE WARM AND SLOPPY KISSES. IT MAY BE HARD TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FOSTER PUP WHEN THEY ARE ADOPTED, BUT REMEMBER YOU SAVED A LIFE!!!

Fostering Saves Lives. Please Help

         HEY GUYS!

NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILITY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

HERE IS A LIST OF SOME OF THE DOGS THAT ARE IN DESPARATE NEED OF A FOSTER AT NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY ANIMAL FACILITY. THE COMMENTS ARE QUOTED FROM THEIR FACEBOOK PAGES:

SHARING RUSSELL Again and Again!!
Please keep sharing our boy, the Shelter is at capacity!! We need fosters desperately! We have Rescues that want to help but they need fosters. Please consider opening your heart and your home. Russell’s only issue is he needs to be the only dog in the home! He can be around other dogs, every day he sees them out on his walks and sees them in the play yard with no reaction. Please someone has to have a spot for this boy. Our Shelter is so crowded and space is critical!!! Please help!! If you are a Rescue that can help or are interested in fostering, please email kathleenfrett1@gmail.com.
We did it for Rosie, we can do it for Russell! Please keep sharing!

- ROXY - “We are still in need of help for our sweet girl Roxy! This beautiful young pup is an American Bulldog mix, a petite girl weighing around 50 pounds, and approximately 3 years old.  Roxy has passed all of her temperament tests, but she does absolutely need to be the only dog in the home.  Roxy is very stressed in the shelter, she paces in circles in her run every day for hours, she is losing weight. She is a young, beautiful girl, who loves people, has no resource guarding issues, is gentle and walks beautifully. Roxy just needs to be your one and only. Any 501(c)3 Rescue that can help her please email kathleenfrett1@gmail.com. Please keep sharing for Roxy. This sweet girl is running out of hope!"

- FAITH - "Faith is still in need of hospice foster! If anybody can open their heart and home to this sweet mama for whatever time she has left, we have a wonderful rescue that is waiting to help but they need a foster. Although Faith can be around other dogs, she does prefer her own space and does not want dogs too close to her.  If you can help please email kathleenfrett1@gmail.com and I will put you in touch with the rescue or please go to J & Co Dog Rescue and fill out a foster application.
